Wisata Edukasi Berkelanjutan: Strategi Pemberdayaan Destinasi Lokal di Taman Nasional Alas Purwo, Indonesia

Penelitian tentang wisata edukasi di kawasan konservasi seringkali belum secara komprehensif mengintegrasikan analisis spasial dan dimensi interaksi antara manusia dan lingkungan dalam satu kerangka epistemologis yang holistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wisata edukasi berkelanjutan di Taman Nasional Alas Purwo (TNAP), Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan epistemologi geografi untuk memahami interaksi antara manusia, lingkungan, dan ruang dalam konteks pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan di Taman Nasional Alas Purwo, Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur, dari Oktober 2024 hingga Maret 2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumen. Validasi data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber, metode, dan teori untuk memastikan keabsahan data. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan epistemologi geografi, yang melibatkan identifikasi pola spasial, interpretasi kualitatif, dan pemahaman interaksi manusia-lingkungan dalam konteks ruang dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Taman Nasional Alas Purwo telah menerapkan berbagai program edukasi. Program-program tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran konservasi dan memberdayakan masyarakat lokal. Beberapa program yang telah dijalankan antara lain Wildlife Research Station (WRS), pelatihan Eco-Print, dan pelepasan tukik. Program-program tersebut berhasil menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru bagi masyarakat setempat. Program tersebut juga meningkatkan kesadaran wisatawan akan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kebangkitan pariwisata lokal berbasis wisata edukasi berkelanjutan di Taman Nasional Alas Purwo memiliki potensi besar. Potensi tersebut dapat memberikan dampak positif dari segi ekonomi, sosial, maupun lingkungan.
